Welcome to the home of great orchestral music in Watford. Having had to cancel last season's final two concerts, we want you to know that we will be returning once we are safely allowed to do so!

We had been looking forward (with some optimism!) to resuming our concerts at The Clarendon Muse mid mid-November with an all Beethoven programme celebrating his 250th Anniversary and featuring his 'Emperor' Piano Concerto. Unfortunately it seems increasingly unlikely that the UK regulations will enable this to go ahead - but please watch out for further news.

Similarly, we had been planning a "Family Christmas Concert" at St.Luke's Church, Langley Way, Watford on the afternoon of Saturday 12th December where we were hoping to be joined by a Children's Choir from some of our local Junior Schools. This also seems unlikely to go ahead.

We are still actively planning for 2021. Back at The Clarendon Muse, on February 6th next year we have a Scottish themed concert, and on May 8th we have music by Nielsen, Mozart and Sibelius, with the season finishing on July 3rd with Dvorak's glorious Cello Concerto and a "Last Night of the Prom's" second half, complete with the Henry Wood Sea Songs!

We will of course be conducted by Stuart Dunlop, with Hugh Molloy as our guest conductor for the May 8th concert. We have an array of fine young soloists about whom you wll find more details in our Concert Brochure which we are hoping to be able to publish and distribute later in the Autumn.

In the meantime, keep well and safe. We look forward to seeing you again as soon as circumstances permit!

Kind Regards
From all at Watford Symphony Orchestra
