Saturday 13th November, 2021

St. Luke’s Church – Langley Way – Watford 7.30pm

(Please note this change of venue from the Clarendon Muse.)

Our Concert Season 2021/22 commences with a programme of music to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven (Covid 19 restrictions in 2020, the actual anniversary year of his birth, of course prevented many such musical tributes). The works that we shall perform are two of his finest creations, Piano Concerto no.5 “The Emperor” and Symphony no 7 in A major, once described as “The apotheosis of the dance”.

Our soloist will be pianist Florian Mitrea, who joined in us a memorable performance of Ravel’s G major Piano Concerto in an earlier season. Florian is much in demand as a recital and concert soloist, with a very busy international schedule of appearances. We are delighted to welcome him back, and we can look forward to a very fine performance of this tremendous work.

Due to space restrictions related to covid, all tickets are now sold. Please have a look at our future concerts.
